Facts, traced to their source.

AI Ledger reviews trending AI-industry claims one at a time — what was said, who said it, and what the primary source actually shows — and publishes a plain verdict: Verified, Disputed, Unverified, or Debunked.

We built AI Ledger because AI news moves faster than verification does. A claimed model release, a lawsuit, a leadership change, a benchmark result — these circulate widely before anyone checks where they actually came from. We deliberately keep our scope narrow: we don't publish general commentary or opinion about the AI industry, and we don't adjudicate matters of taste or prediction as if they were settled fact. We trace one claim to its source, show the evidence for and against, and rate it. See our full methodology.

Why atomic claims, not opinions

A "single source of truth" that adjudicates every contested opinion in AI is a promise no one can credibly keep. Instead, each AI Ledger page reviews exactly one verifiable claim, cites the primary source, and states what we could and couldn't confirm.

Predictions and analyst forecasts are marked Unverified — not true, not false, just not yet settled — no matter how confidently they're repeated elsewhere.

The Four Verdicts

Verified

Confirmed by a primary source or corroborated by multiple independent, named outlets.

Disputed

Credible sources disagree, or a material detail is contested.

Unverified

No primary source has confirmed or denied it — includes forecasts and predictions.

Debunked

Directly contradicted by a primary source or verifiable record.

Where our old tools went

AI Ledger began as ToolsmithPro, a collection of 50+ free calculators and utilities. Those tools are still live and free in our tools archive — we just don't add new ones as we focus entirely on verified AI facts.
